Herold Robert Bock, aged 65, was last seen on November 9, 1997, in Wilmington, California. On that day, Bock set sail with his daughter, Jeannie Chavez, aboard their 64-foot schooner named *Connie B.* Their destination was Sitka, Alaska, and Bock estimated that the trip would take approximately 30 days. However, neither Bock, his daughter, nor their boat ever reached their destination, and there has been no contact with them since their departure.
