Hakan Karacay, a 28-year-old Turkish immigrant, was last seen on September 20, 1999, in Clifton, New Jersey. On that day, he borrowed his brother’s silver 1989 Mazda 626, telling his family that he was going to the store. However, Hakan never returned, and his family reported him missing the following day.
