In early 2003, 86-year-old Joaquin Sierra and his wife, Eleanor, vanished from their home in Reno, Nevada. The exact date of their disappearance remains uncertain. Concern for the elderly couple grew among those who knew them. Shortly before they went missing, the Sierras had contacted a great-niece to ask for money, explaining that they had been robbed.
