In the late summer of 2014, a then 63-year-old man named Daniel Farrar was residing in an assisted living facility in the coastal town of Westbrook, Connecticut. On September 11th, around the noon hour, he informed the staff that he was heading out to get some lunch. He left the facility with only $20 in his pocket and the clothes he was wearing: blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt.
