James B. Zapolski, a 15-year-old from Princeton, New Jersey, went missing on July 23, 1966. On the day of his disappearance, James left his home on Washington Street on his newly purchased gold and white French-made bicycle, which he had bought just eight days earlier. He was last seen riding along Mt. Lucas Road, and his family initially believed he was attempting a long-distance bike trip to Florida, as he had been training for such a ride by biking 20 miles daily.
