In one video, she stated, "If I end up dead and my dismembered body is found all over Kokomo, it was Jonathon Christy." Friends informed investigators that Christy had been abusive towards Brandi, including instances of choking her. Police records showed that officers had been called to Christy's residence five times between late December 2023 and January 19, 2024.
As investigators delved deeper, the case shifted from a missing person's search to a homicide investigation. Suspicion fell on Jonathon Christy, whose behavior following Brandi's disappearance raised red flags. He reportedly spray-painted his truck and made inquiries about using burn piles to dispose of items. The investigation led police to a dumpster in Kempton, Indiana, where Christy claimed to have burned personal belongings. An anthropology team later confirmed the remains included arm bones, rib bones, and phalanges. A key witness came forward, providing a harrowing account of the events. The witness alleged that Christy had confessed to killing Brandi after an argument, striking her with a wrench. The witness claimed to have been threatened by Christy into helping move Brandi's body, which was then placed in a dumpster and set on fire. On February 27, 2024, Jonathon Christy was arrested and subsequently charged with murder in connection with Brandi Bradley's death.
