Michael Raymond Reeder, aged 43, was last seen on April 1, 2014, in Escondido, California. A Marine Corps veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to his service in Operation Desert Storm, Reeder also struggled with substance abuse. He was last spotted at a Wells Fargo bank in Valley Center, San Diego County. Shortly after, on April 8, his vehicle was found abandoned in a remote area near Lake Wohlford in Escondido. Despite being known to frequent the area, Reeder has not been seen or heard from since.
Authorities were notified on April 10, when Reeder's mother reported him missing. Although there were concerns regarding his mental health and drug use, no foul play is suspected at this time. His case remains unsolved, and investigators are continuing their search for any information that could provide answers.
