John Michael Boutin, a 24-year-old from Rawlins, Wyoming, disappeared on January 13, 1983. At the time of his disappearance, he was enrolled in a state-sponsored welding apprenticeship program and was last seen at Carbon County Welding. After leaving his class, he vanished without a trace. His belongings, including personal items, were left behind at his mobile home, which was unusual as he frequently stayed in contact with his family.
