Frederick Albert Iwert, age 66, was last seen on April 20, 1983, in Washington County, Kansas. A farmer with a history of health issues, including a thyroid condition and difficulty walking, Iwert was devoted to his farm, particularly the livestock inherited from his late wife. On the day of his disappearance, he was expecting his neighbor, J. Ted Garner, a chiropractor, to help with farm chores and provide a treatment.
