Casey Gene Morgan, a 39-year-old man, was last seen in Marshall, Texas, on August 8, 1997. He had just finished his shift at the Waffle House at 4:30 a.m. and was later spotted at a Gas Express station along Highway 59. Before his disappearance, Casey had expressed concerns about being threatened by local loggers, a matter he had shared with both his father and a coworker on August 7. They had planned to meet that weekend to discuss the issue further, but Casey vanished before they could do so.
