Fredrick Joseph Boehm, a 23-year-old man from Marshall, Texas, disappeared on the night of January 25, 2001, under mysterious circumstances. Known by his nickname "Little Joe," Boehm was last seen between 11:00 p.m. and midnight, shortly after receiving an unexpected phone call that visibly upset him. At the time, he was staying with friends because his truck was broken and he had no other means of transportation.
After changing out of his pajamas into regular clothes, he left the house on foot, telling his friend’s girlfriend that he would not return that night. Despite carrying a .357 Magnum revolver with him, Boehm has not been seen or heard from since.
Boehm was living in Marshall temporarily, as he planned to care for a friend’s dog while that friend was away. It was highly unusual for him to leave without notice, and his sudden disappearance raised concerns, especially since he left behind his medication for severe anger, which he needed to manage his emotional state. His family reported him missing on February 3, 2001, after realizing that he had not returned.
Foul play is strongly suspected in his disappearance. Boehm was involved with drugs at the time, and investigators theorized that his vanishing might have been linked to a drug-related conflict, possibly over a debt. However, no solid evidence has emerged to support this theory. Despite intensive searches and investigations, no trace of Boehm has been found, leaving his case unresolved for over two decades.
