On a cold winter day, February 6, 1999, 38-year-old Charles Raymond Staley was last heard from in Medford, Oregon. He had plans to travel to Washington to visit his brother, a trip from which he would never arrive. At the time of his disappearance, Staley was experiencing a transient lifestyle. His absence was not immediately alarming to those who knew him due to his transient nature.
