Jaime Vasquez, aged 28, was last seen on March 31, 2001, in Boonville, California. That evening, Jaime was reportedly abducted at gunpoint by four masked men while driving on a rural dirt road with his wife and infant son. They were only a short distance from their home when the men forced Jaime out of the vehicle. His wife, left unharmed, contacted the authorities immediately after the incident, but Jaime was never seen again.
