Regina McCorkle, a 19-year-old mother, was last seen on August 14, 1981, in East Moline, Illinois. On the day of her disappearance, Regina's mother left their home at around 8:30 a.m. to go to work. When she returned home at 4:45 p.m., she found that both the front and back doors were locked from the inside. After breaking in, she discovered Regina's two-year-old son locked in a bedroom, but Regina was gone.
