On August 15, 1987, 21-year-old Peter Robert Carocci and his friend, Michael J. Sweet, embarked on what was intended to be a four-hour fishing trip off the coast of Narragansett, Rhode Island. The two men failed to return, prompting a search operation after they were reported missing. At the time of his disappearance, Carocci was described as a white male, 5'11" tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
