Peter Carocci, 21, went missing on August 15, 1987, during a fishing trip off the coast of Narragansett, Rhode Island. He and his friend Michael Sweet set out on a 19-foot outboard motorboat but never returned. Their boat was later discovered swamped and adrift approximately 15 miles southeast of Block Island. Despite an extensive search by the U.S. Coast Guard, no trace of Carocci or Sweet was ever found.
