On August 15, 1987, 21-year-old Peter Robert Carocci and his friend, Michael J. Sweet, embarked on what was intended to be a four-hour fishing trip off the coast of Narragansett, Rhode Island. The two men failed to return, prompting a search operation after they were reported missing.
