William John King, a 34-year-old man, went missing on June 19, 2000, while fishing with three other people on Lake Michigan near Algoma, Wisconsin. The group's 19-foot aluminum boat capsized during the trip, and although the Coast Guard successfully rescued the other three individuals and recovered the boat, William was not found. He is presumed to have drowned.
