In the winter of 2016, a 48-year-old grandmother named Crystal Ann Corbin vanished from her home in Stockport, Ohio, leaving behind a series of unanswered questions. She was last seen at her residence in the area of Windsor Township and Lightner Ridge Road on December 27, 2016. To her family, Crystal stated she was going away for a few days with a friend who was unknown to them. She planned to return by December 29. When that day came and went with no word from Crystal, her family grew concerned and reported her missing to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office on December 30. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as a white female, 5'3" tall and weighing around 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. The circumstances surrounding Crystal's departure were unsettling. She reportedly took a small suitcase and approximately a three-week supply of necessary medication. Despite this, her cell phone and credit cards went silent, with no activity registered after she left. The investigation began immediately, with law enforcement trying to piece together her last known movements. Security cameras from a Walmart had captured her running errands on December 26, appearing to be her usual self. Just a day later, however, all calls to her phone went directly to voicemail. In the days that followed her being reported missing, authorities, with the help of local fire departments, conducted a search of seven acres of woods surrounding her home but found no trace of her. Years have passed since Crystal Corbin was last heard from, and her case has grown cold, though not forgotten. Law enforcement agencies have continued to investigate, including conducting new searches of property in Stockport as recently as late 2025 with K-9 units, hoping to uncover remains or new evidence. The lack of any significant leads has left her loved ones in a painful state of limbo. There has been no activity on her bank accounts or phone since the day she disappeared. The case is an overview of a woman who seemingly vanished without a trace after telling her family she was taking a short trip with a friend; she has not been seen or heard from since. Her family continues to hope for answers in the unsettling disappearance of a mother and grandmother who is deeply missed.
