Paul Johnson, a 13-year-old boy from Grand Tower, Illinois, went missing on July 9, 2017. Paul was swimming with his family at a public beach access area along the Mississippi River when tragedy struck. Both he and his uncle, David Totten, were swept away by the river's strong current. Despite extensive search efforts, involving land, water, and air operations, only Totten's body was recovered two days later, on July 11, 2017.
