Rene Martinez Vazquez, a 17-year-old Guatemalan immigrant, went missing on September 16, 2017, from Montague, Michigan. Rene had been placed with a Refugee Resettlement Sponsor by Texas DHHS just a few days earlier, on September 12, 2017. However, only four days after his placement, he fled the resettlement program, and his whereabouts have remained unknown since.
