Robert Godofredo Mino, aged 49, disappeared on April 1, 2000, after leaving his home in Hayward, California. He had planned a sightseeing trip to Utah, driving his mocha-colored 1996 Ford Explorer with California vanity plates reading "BOB MINO." Mino, who was diabetic, was known to have last used his credit card on April 7, 2000, when purchasing gas in Hurricane, Utah. He also stopped in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he bought off-road tires.
