Wendy Lynn Khan, a 46-year-old woman from Mankato, Minnesota, was last seen on June 1, 2018. The day before, she had accompanied her adult daughter, Aneisah, to a doctor’s appointment. Afterward, Wendy gave her daughter a ride home. The next day, she communicated with her daughter via text and phone, declining an invitation to spend time together. By June 2, however, Wendy stopped answering her phone, and when Aneisah went to check on her, Wendy and her car were both missing.
On June 7, Wendy’s black Nissan Sentra was discovered abandoned behind a CVS pharmacy, with a flat tire that had been deliberately punctured. Wendy's personal belongings, including her purse and phone, were missing, and she had left behind her pet cats, raising concerns. Her phone and financial accounts have not been accessed since her disappearance.
Wendy lived with her boyfriend, Mohammed Bilal Chughtai, at the time. He initially claimed that she may have run off with another man. However, Chughtai had a history of legal issues, including domestic assault and restraining orders related to a previous marriage. A month after Wendy's disappearance, Chughtai sold their home and disappeared without claiming the proceeds from the sale.
