Russell Ralph Hanks, a 72-year-old resident of St. George, Utah, went missing on October 6, 2018. On the morning of his disappearance, Hanks, who had Alzheimer's disease, was captured on surveillance footage leaving his home on South Pomegranate Way at 5:36 a.m. He was carrying a small backpack and heading toward the desert southwest of town, an area where he frequently hiked.
