David Stern, a 29-year-old accountant, was last seen on November 27, 2018, in Washington, D.C. That afternoon, he texted his fiancée saying he was leaving work early to visit a doctor, promising to be home later. However, Stern was later spotted at Dixie Liquor Store in Georgetown around 6:00 p.m., purchasing a pint of Crown Royal. His phone last pinged near Georgetown and Arlington at around 9:00 p.m., an area where Stern did not have any known connections.
