On a late summer day in 1979, the vast and often unpredictable waters of Alaska's Cook Inlet became the setting for a lasting mystery. On September 10th, 42-year-old Eli Wilson Darien, Sr., an American Indian / Alaska Native man, was involved in a boating accident in the remote area of Dry Bay.
