Heather Samantha Rowe, a 23-year-old transgender woman born as Douglas Scott Rowe, was last heard from on March 5, 1996. At the time, she was living in Columbus, Georgia, but informed her family during a phone call that she was heading to New Orleans, Louisiana. Heather boarded a Greyhound bus for the trip, and it was the last confirmed contact her family had with her.
