In a quiet Sparks, Nevada neighborhood, the stillness of an autumn evening was broken by a grim discovery that left residents in shock. On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, police were dispatched to a home on Satellite Drive where they found the bodies of two men inside. The deceased were identified as 78-year-old James Smith, a White male, and 31-year-old Jalil Martin. Investigators reported that both men had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
