Robert Pinkerton Missing Person Case

Robert Grey Pinkerton, 34, was last seen on September 26, 1997, in Isla Vista, California. He had been living a transient lifestyle at the time of his disappearance. Pinkerton was described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 175 pounds, with brown, shoulder-length hair and a full beard with graying around the chin. He also had several distinctive features, including a chipped upper front tooth and a metal pin in one of his wrists, although the specific wrist is unknown. He had a 2-3 inch scar on his stomach.

His father reported him missing, and the case was treated as a voluntary missing adult. Pinkerton has not been seen or heard from since, and there have been no significant developments in his case. Law enforcement, including the California Department of Justice, continues to keep the case open in the hopes of finding new information about his whereabouts.
