David Paul Morrison, 28, was last seen on May 25, 1998, in Yosemite National Park. Morrison, an experienced hiker, had joined a group of friends for Memorial Day weekend in Little Yosemite Valley. On the morning of May 25, he set out alone for a hike to Half Dome but never returned. Despite his hiking experience, he was not prepared for an overnight stay or the sudden storm that hit the area later that day. Morrison was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved University of California Santa Cruz sweatshirt, black sweatpants, Nike Air sneakers, and a black, green, and yellow Osprey fanny pack containing his credit card.

Search efforts following his disappearance were extensive, but no trace of him has ever been found. Authorities believe Morrison may have gotten lost or injured during his hike due to the challenging weather conditions. His case remains classified as a lost/injured missing person, and his whereabouts remain unknown despite continued interest in his case.
