She was working for a door-to-door magazine sales company, a job that had brought her across the country to upstate New York. On the afternoon of August 30, 2003, Jennifer, a female with brown hair and hazel eyes, was dropped off by her sales manager at the entrance to the Creek and Pines Mobile Home Park in the town of Milton, Saratoga County. She was scheduled to be picked up later that day but never appeared at the designated location. Her colleagues searched for her without success. Jennifer had made arrangements to return to Colorado and even had a bus ticket waiting for her in Albany, but it was never claimed. Her personal belongings were left behind at the hotel where she had been staying. After she failed to return, she was reported missing. For six years, Jennifer's whereabouts remained a mystery, leaving her family in a state of agonizing uncertainty. The hope of finding her alive began to fade with each passing year. A significant breakthrough in the case came on October 25, 2009, when a hiker discovered partial human remains in a wooded area in the Town of Greenfield, near Lake Desolation. Investigators confirmed through dental records and DNA analysis that the remains belonged to Jennifer Hammond. The discovery, while providing a devastating answer to her family, shifted the focus of the investigation from a missing person case to a homicide. The case of Jennifer Hammond is now considered an unsolved homicide. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate her death, seeking information that could lead to the person or persons responsible. Her case has been linked by investigators to that of another young woman, Christina White, who also disappeared from a mobile home park in Milton less than two years after Jennifer. The remains of both young women were found in remote, wooded areas in the same region, leading to the theory that their deaths may be connected. Despite the passage of time, law enforcement remains committed to solving these cases and bringing a measure of peace to the families of Jennifer Hammond and Christina White. The investigation is an ongoing effort to piece together the final moments of a young woman's life that was cut tragically short.
