Brandon Lamont Brownlee, a 43-year-old man from Missoula, Montana, was last seen on June 15, 2018. In the early morning hours, at approximately 3:00 a.m., he departed from his residence. His destination was the Bob Marshall Wilderness, a vast and rugged area. Brownlee's last known location was a trailhead near the town of Ovando, Montana.
Concerns for Brownlee's welfare grew when his vehicle was discovered abandoned at the trailhead.
A troubling detail was that one of the vehicle's windows had been broken out. Authorities were able to confirm that his cell phone was in the vicinity at the time he disappeared. It is believed that he may have been wearing camouflage-print hunting clothes and carrying a gray frame backpack.
An extensive search was initiated to find Brownlee, but the challenging terrain of the Bob Marshall Wilderness hampered the efforts. Investigators believe he may have hiked along the Jenny Creek Trail to where it intersects with Young's Creek. However, his trail went cold from that point on. Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved, leaving family and friends without answers.
