On 12/5/2022 at approximately 1243 hours, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office contacted the Medical Examiner's Office regarding unidentified skeletal remains in a mountainous desert area south of Tacna, Arizona on the Barry Goldwater Range. The remains were initially located by US Border Patrol Agents on patrol in the area.
