On July 9, 2021, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by USBP BORTAC units when they discovered the skeletal remains of a female subject in a small wash area approximately 20 miles south of S Ave 40 E. Per deputy the remains had been there for some time and it appeared as though wildlife had come upon the remains at some point.
