On the evening of 08/04/1982, the decedent ran eastbound across State Highway 163, in the area of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard overcrossing, when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The decedent was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he expired after resuscitative efforts failed.
