On October 1, 2019, the remains of a woman identified as Sheba Doreen Miller were discovered in Tacoma, Washington. The case garnered attention when a manager at a storage facility in the city came across a box containing cremated remains, which was labeled with Miller's name. The discovery was subsequently reported to the Tacoma Police Department, who then transferred the cremains to the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.
