On November 6, 2018, the body of a male, later identified as John Stephen Whalen, was discovered unresponsive on a public sidewalk in Honolulu, Hawaii. The decedent, who was presumed to be homeless, was attended to by local authorities and promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
