In the summer of 2019, the community of Powell, Tennessee, was quietly shocked by the discovery of an unidentified female body. On June 8th of that year, authorities found the remains of Jillian Lei Nasino. Despite the efforts of the authorities, she remained unclaimed, as her next of kin did not step forward to make funeral arrangements. Consequently, the obligation fell onto the local authorities to ensure a respectful handling of her remains, culminating in a county-arranged cremation.
