On June 5, 2020, Melchor Hernandez-Corona, an unclaimed person, was found in Oceanside, California. The individual was observed by the nephew of a friend to be in an altered state, prompting the nephew to call 911 for assistance. Emergency medical personnel responded promptly, and Hernandez-Corona was transported to the Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Department for treatment.
