On December 30, 2023, at approximately 3:46 p.m., a tragic incident occurred in San Dimas, California. A westbound Metrolink train encountered an unexpected obstacle while approaching a dimly lit underpass. The train operator noticed movement ahead and promptly initiated the train warning whistle multiple times to alert any individuals in the vicinity.
