On February 6, 2024, the body of 61-year-old Peter Michael Risoen was discovered in an alley in Pacific Beach, San Diego. Known to be experiencing homelessness, Risoen's lifeless body was first noticed by a bystander who subsequently alerted emergency management services. When San Diego Police officers arrived at the scene, they found clear indications that Risoen had passed away and confirmed his death without medical intervention.
