On February 25, 2024, at approximately 10:42 p.m., Tyrone Rogers, a 39-year-old man from Los Angeles, was fatally shot while driving in the Vermont-Slauson area. The incident occurred near the intersection of 66th Street and Estrella Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two individuals—a male and a female—exited a vehicle and fired at Rogers as he was driving. After the shooting, the assailants returned to their vehicle and fled the scene.
