On August 11, 2024, the body of Berta Alicia Martinez, a female resident of Los Angeles, California, was found at the West Hollywood Healthcare and Wellness Center, where she had been admitted on July 31, 2024. The nursing staff at the facility discovered Berta unresponsive in her bed and promptly called 911. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced her dead at 5:52 a.m. There were no immediate signs of foul play or external trauma, indicating a natural or undetermined cause of death.
