In the case of Marilyn Kaye Hammond, the unclaimed individual found in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 10, 2021, the circumstances of her discovery were both tragic and unsettling. The St. Louis Fire Department personnel responded to an emergency call reporting an "apartment fire," and upon their arrival, they found Ms. Hammond's lifeless body on the floor.
