On July 7, 2014, 49-year-old Michael J. Hall, a Black male, was found deceased in a residence on the 6100 block of Patoka Lake Drive in Indianapolis, Indiana. Police discovered his body alongside that of a 46-year-old woman, DeAnna Brooks. The discovery was made around 3:00 p.m. after officers responded to the scene, where they encountered a running vehicle in the garage and detected high levels of carbon monoxide within the home.
