Kirk J. Shurill, aged 39, was fatally shot on September 30, 2017, in Indianapolis. The incident occurred outside the Persian Temple #46 on East 23rd Street, during a repass dinner for a friend who had been recently killed. Witnesses reported that a dispute broke out while Shurill was driving a vehicle in the parking lot.
