On September 2, 2009, 35-year-old Jason Lee Joy of Avon, Indiana, was fatally shot in Bedford, Indiana. Authorities responded to the 3300 block of Michael Avenue at the Ridgewood Apartment Complex, where they discovered Joy lying face down in the street, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and observed a woman approach Joy's body, firing additional shots.
