Leon Gehl, a 6-year-old boy from Paoli, Indiana, tragically died on February 10, 2015, as a result of a domestic violence incident. On that day, Leon and his 3-year-old sister, Addison, were shot by their father, Jeremy Gehl, during a violent altercation at their home. Jeremy Gehl also attacked his estranged wife, Melissa Randolph, with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds. Despite her injuries, Melissa survived the attack. After shooting his children, Jeremy Gehl took his own life.
