Nicholas Fields, aged 56, was found dead on June 23, 2014, at his mobile home in Paoli, Indiana. The tragic incident was part of a triple shooting that also resulted in the death of Corey Michael Harris, 25, and the wounding of Daniel Smitson, 29^1^. Fields and Harris were both shot in the head, while Smitson survived a gunshot wound to the mouth^1^.
