Joseph Theodore Letke, Jr., aged 57, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2016, in New Albany, Indiana. Letke, a former city comptroller, was found dead at his ex-wife's home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities discovered a five-page note believed to have been written by Letke, and evidence at the scene suggested that his death was a suicide.
