On a late Friday night in Richmond, Indiana, the life of 27-year-old Shawn Wesley Sams was tragically cut short. On June 16, 2017, just before midnight, police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Richmond Avenue following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a grim scene on the front porch of the house. Shawn Sams and another man, 22-year-old Bishop Oliver, were found with fatal gunshot wounds.
