On a summer evening in Aurora, Indiana, the life of 30-year-old Brittany L. Black was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2017, while mowing the lawn of her Dearborn County home with her husband, Kyle Black, Brittany was fatally shot. The attack also left her 37-year-old husband in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the torso. Despite his own severe injuries, Kyle was able to call 911 to report the shooting.
